About Our School
By God’s grace and blessings, Youngnak Church of Portland has devoted itself for the past 60 years to spreading the gospel and serving in God’s work. We now strive to continue this mission by establishing an educational institution called “Dream Christian Academy (DCA),” starting with preschool and growing to serve future generations. Dream Christian Academy will become a place to share God’s love and teachings, nurturing children to grow in faith.
About Our Director
Hello, I’m Carrol Jackson! I am married to Steve and we have 4 children and 4 grand boys! I have a master’s in education and just finished an executive certificate in Special Education. In my free time I am a ‘stage mom’ to our youngest who is quite involved in community theater. I also love to sew, crochet, work in my yard and read.
I’m honored to serve as the Director of Dream Christian Preschool. Our goal is to provide a Christ-centered, high-quality early childhood program where children can learn and grow holistically—spiritually, intellectually, and socially.
I’m passionate about creating a place where families feel supported, children feel safe and inspired to learn, and faith is woven into the experience.
We’re eager to open Dream Christian Preschool in September 2025, welcoming families into a community where young children feel loved, safe, and encouraged in their learning journey.
About Our Program
We are currently welcoming children ages 3~5 years old
Hours of operation: 8:00 am ~ 3:00 pm Monday ~ Friday
Extended Day Option: 3:00-5:00pm
Dream Christian Preschool is launching with a focus on children ages 3-5, providing a nurturing, Christ-centered preschool experience. As we grow, we plan to expand based on community needs, by introducing a toddler program for ages 2-3 and an after-school program for children ages 5-12.
Additionally, we will offer enriching summer camp opportunities for school-aged children, designed to foster learning, faith, and fun. We are excited to serve families through these diverse programs as our preschool develops!

Full-Time Preschool (8:00 AM – 3:00 PM):
$1,100 per month
Full Time Preschool with Extended Care (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM):
$1,300 per month
Curriculum Info
Curriculum Scope
At Dream Christian Preschool, we use Experience Preschool®: a research-based curriculum designed to support your child’s rapidly growing curiosity. Through engaging activities, children will:
- Build friendship skills and learn to express their feelings in healthy ways
- Develop problem-solving and creative thinking abilities
- Follow structured daily routines that promote brain development and self-regulation skills, preparing them for lifelong success in school and beyond
Children work on fine motor, logic, language, and problem-solving skills, through classroom learning centers in Literacy, Math, Science, Sensory, Music, Art, and Dramatic Play.
Our faith-based curriculum, Experience God®, helps children discover God’s love and grow in their faith through:
- Bible stories that bring God’s teachings to life
- Scripture memorization to strengthen their understanding of His word
- Daily games and projects that nurture Christian values in a meaningful and engaging way
Through these experiences, children will develop a deep connection to God, building a strong foundation for their faith journey. This environment fosters a love for learning, encouraging children to explore, grow, and thrive!
Daily Schedules are posted in each classroom and include planned activities, rest time, physical activity and any screen time (if applicable. Screen time is limited to 2.5 hours a week).
Korean Language Program
Dream Christian Preschool is excited to introduce Korean language learning as part of our curriculum! In the early stages, children will engage with foundational Korean words, songs, and simple phrases in a fun and interactive way. Our goal is to build language exposure and familiarity while fostering enthusiasm for bilingual learning. As we grow, we aspire to transition into a full immersion program, deepening language skills in a natural and engaging environment. We look forward to this journey and welcome families to join us in shaping this exciting addition to our preschool experience!
Exciting News: Dream Christian Preschool is Using Brightwheel® and Experience God!
We’re thrilled to share that Dream Christian Preschool will be using Brightwheel® an all-in-one app designed to enhance communication and streamline preschool operations. Brightwheel® allows parents to receive real-time updates about their child’s day, including meals, naps, and learning milestones. Teachers can share photos and videos, helping parents stay connected to their child’s experiences.
